Hey! My name is Carolyn, I am an artist based in New York City. I prefer to live my life at one extreme or the other, AKA running down the streets of NYC to catch a train or baking in the sun at the beaches of New Jersey, where I grew up. 

The very first “extreme” I experienced was extreme shyness. It is best exemplified in what was my very first performance, when I sang for ‘A’ in the alphabet song at kindergarten graduation. I stood out against all the other kids…but that’s because I cried the entirety of the graduation due to my massive stage fright. My parents have never recovered from watching that unfold. So you can imagine their surprise when I told them at 8 years old that I wanted to be an actor. That’s when the journey to the other extreme began. Now the little girl who wouldn’t dare to correct someone who called her “Caroline” is the same girl who can make conversation with a brick wall.

I realized later in life that despite where I started, I am a complete thrill-seeker. Which makes sense why I would choose to follow my passion for acting after years of stage fright. There is no rush like the one I felt the first time I overcame stage fright, and it’s become a feeling I chase in every performance. In my work, I’m always looking for the extremes, ways to scare myself into something new, and ultimately how to walk out of a performance catching my own breath.

My love for the city led me to study at New York University in the Tisch Drama program where I recently graduated after studying at the Meisner Studio and the Atlantic Acting School. I learned so much about myself in my time at NYU, including my love for learning dialects, clowning, and improvisational movement.  

Outside of the arts, I’m a big fan of dogs, RSVPing “yes” to everything, solo flights, and late nights.
